About the Club
History of the Forty Four Club – formerly Rookery Hall was a 19th century country villa.
It served as the residence for the prominent Lanes family, who were notable landowners in the lower Ettingshall & Sedgley districts & who's name became the origin of the surrounding Lanesfield village.
In the mid 20th century, the estate grounds transitioned and were adapted to meet the social needs of a rapidly industrialising Black Country.
The hall was established as a private members establishment, most notably becoming home to the Forty Four Club.
The Forty Four Club Era: The former manor became a focal point for local leisure.
The club provided recreational facilities including function room, traditional pub games
(Snooker / Darts / Chess) a crown bowling green and a rifle / pistol range.

The club is a charming members only club.
Offering a cosy atmosphere for social gatherings & entertainment for non members.
The club features amenities such as snooker tables, darts and a rifle / pistol range.
Weekly events includes Chess Club / Triumph Bikers Members Club /
Darts Matches / Snooker Tournaments.
The function room is available for hire & suitable for Family Parties / Anniversaries /
Baby Reveal / Showers etc.

Our journey began in May 2024 during a pivotal moment for the club.
Facing incredibly tough times with literally two years of financial reserves left in the bank.
A passionate effort was launched to breathe new life into our beloved club through
the introduction of top tier entertainment.
Today we are proud to say the Forty Four Club is not just surviving, but is now starting to thrive with the help and support of our amazing regular and new supporters to the club.
We love bringing people together, which is why our weekly weekend entertainment is
proudly open to members & non-members alike.
